Reasons to Believe

• Meyer Montessori is proud to be the home of Tempe’s Montessori program. Rooted in Dr. Maria Montessori’s philosophy, our approach builds on each child’s natural curiosity, fostering independence, autonomy, and a lifelong love of learning. Students develop intrinsic motivation as they explore and engage with thoughtfully prepared materials.
   
• Children participate in hands-on learning that makes abstract concepts concrete. Our classrooms emphasize integrated academics, connecting math, language, science, culture, and the arts so students see the world as an interconnected whole. Through differentiated instruction and self-paced progress, each child is supported according to their unique stage of development.
   
• Multi-age classrooms provide opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and leadership, while allowing students the freedom within limits to make choices and advance at their own pace.
   
• Family partnership is essential to our community. Families are invited to observe the classroom once per year to see learning in action and participate in quarterly parent education classes to better understand the Montessori approach. Active engagement beyond the classroom creates a nurturing environment that supports the growth of the whole child. Families also contribute a minimum of 10 service hours each year, strengthening the connection between home and school.
   
• Grounded in Montessori’s Four Planes of Development, our program fosters growth across academic, social, and emotional dimensions, helping children become confident, capable, and responsible members of their community.
