How to Apply

Meyer Montessori proudly provides a free public Montessori education. It is also a choice school within Tempe Elementary Schools, which means that all students must apply to attend. 

Student Requirements for Meyer Montessori:

Preschool Applicants

• Children must be 3- or 4-years-old when the program begins each year.
• Children must also be toilet trained.
• Tuition is $650/month with a $50 registration fee. 

Kindergarten Applicants

• Children must be 5-years-old on or before August 31 of that school year. Students who qualify for consideration for the kindergarten program as an early Entrance Student (born between September 1st and December 31st) in other Tempe Schools only qualify for the four year old category at Meyer Montessori.

4th and 5th Grade Applicants

• Students must have prior Montessori experience.

Placement Decisions

The optimal dynamic in a Montessori class calls for a careful balance of age, gender, and the diverse needs and contributions of the children. Guides are actively involved in placement decisions because they have intimate knowledge of their own classroom communities.

Waitlist

Because of the nature of the Montessori philosophy, school capacity is limited and many of our grade levels experience waitlists. Because there is some attrition between enrollment time and the start of school, a certain number of vacancies are anticipated.

Transportation Information

As a choice school, transportation to and from Meyer is the parent/guardian responsibility.
