How to Apply

Meyer Montessori proudly provides a free public Montessori education (K-5). As a choice school within Tempe Elementary Schools, all students must apply to attend. Families are highly encouraged to engage with the Montessori philosophy, ensuring a strong connection between home and school to support each child's learning journey. 

Student Requirements for Meyer Montessori:

Preschool Applicants

• Children must be 3 or 4 years old when the program begins each year.
• Children must be toilet trained.
• Tuition is $650/month with a $50 registration fee. 

Kindergarten Applicants

• Children must be 5-years-old on or before August 31 of that school year.
• Students considered for early entrance (born between September 1st and December 31st) in other Tempe Schools are eligible for the four-year-old category at Meyer Montessori.

4th and 5th Grade Applicants

• Students applying for grades 4 and 5 must have prior Montessori Experience. At minimum, students must have been enrolled in a Montessori program for one semester or more to qualify.

Placement Decisions

Montessori classrooms are carefully balanced to optimize age diversity, gender, and the unique needs and contributions of each child. 

Waitlist for 2025-2026

Due to the nature of the Montessori philosophy, school capacity is limited, and many grade levels experience waitlists. Some vacancies are anticipated due to attrition between enrollment and the start of school. 

Transportation Information

As a choice school, transportation to and from Meyer Montessori is the responsibility if the parent or guardian.
